Having recently revisited the movie on Blu-ray, I was reminded how much I enjoyed the score (rare because I'm not generally a Jarre fan), so I decided to sniff around and see if a CD has surfaced. I found one on Amazon for $637. Who in their right mind would pay that for any CD?? I'm offended by the very notion, and the seller must be wacko. Eeesh.

Insanity. My favourite is when I see CDs through Amazon Resellers that are upwards of $200 or more, with a note saying "does not ship in jewel case" or some nonsense like that. Thuh fuh?

Not quite, zooba. Something is worth what you (any person, not litterally you) want to pay, but if you're dealing with somebody who sets the price, that's what they want you to pay. I can't think of a reason why it's so pricey; it's not some limited edition, it's just hard to find, and it's not -- that I've ever seen -- particularly clammored after. I'd like to see some label come in and let us know they are working on it, or know that somebody else is working on it, and that $637 dollar gouger can suck on some sour grapes.

I just found a couple on Amazon for $80, a few for $200-$300 hundred, one for $400 plus from Japan. But nothing for $637 - my gosh, they must have sold it! () Cassettes are running as cheap as $29 on Amazon and $20 on ebay.

The listings I mentioned are all CD or cassette.
