I had to sit through the trailers... One of the trailers shown was for the upcoming KUBO. I was halfway paying attention when underneath the dialogue a few notes caught my attention. I listened more intently, KNOWING I had heard the music before! After a few seconds I figured it out... it was an orchestral arrangement of Harrison's "While My Guitar Gently Weeps"! SO.... if any of you picked up on that as well, what's the story? Has this arrangement been around for a while, or is this something done as an "in-joke" for the movie?

That just seems to be the thing to do with movie trailers lately: use new arrangements of classics in the background. The most notorious (for me) was in the trailer for Dead Man Down. During that one, I was assaulted by the most horrendous cover of "Shine on You Crazy Diamond" that I've ever heard.

It didn't turn me off the movie though.
