I pretty much opted out of only two types of scores....1) anything that smacked of being a musical or cast album (yes, that included the Glenn Miller release even though people tried to tell me it was not a musical. Sorry, can't agree, I generally don't even like the underscores of movies that are "musical" oriented). And 2) scores that were re-releases of scores previously released (primarily the Bernard Herrmann at 20th Century-Fox releases) that I already had, unless they had substantial extra music. (I don't often care about "re-mastered" versions). So given that, I have not opted out of anything that I just wasn't familiar with....like THE SAILOR WHO FELL FROM GRACE WITH THE SEA or PANIC IN NEEDLE PARK. I would be happy with a future campaign that limited opt-outs but only if you could still opt out of previously released scores and musical/cast albums.
" Panic in Needle Park " is my first exposure to the music of Ned Rorem, and excellent music it is!! I don't fully comprehend the details of the film, but Rorem's music would have added an additional layer to that fine movie.

Does it mean the CDs have already shipped and you've received yours ?
The liner notes indicate that the composer also wrote source music that had not yet been recorded by the time the score was rejected. Do the scores for the source music exist, and does anyone know what it is like?
