[There's more mugging going on in that trailer than in the combined careers of Red Buttons, Red Skelton, Peter Sellers, and Persuaders-era Tony Curtis. Now THERE'S a western I'd pay to see!

And if "Star Trek Beyond" bombs, will they still make another sequel? I think it's mighty premature to start planning the next installment already. They can probably finance a whole sequel with the money they saved by barely promoting Star Trek Beyond! Of course they can always cancel plans - for instance, until a few months after release, there were plans for a second Fantastic Four movie. Don't know what you're missing, but they've been promoting the heck out of the film lately. I plan on seeing it this weekend right after I take in the original PLANET OF THE APES. A nice Sunday afternoon Science Fiction double feature picture show. And I expect this new Star Trek movie to do well. If the studio has already announced another one, then they must be pretty happy with it. I just hope it's not as dreadful as the last one, but I expect some lessons were learned there. The remake of THE MAGNIFICENT SEVEN is the one I expect to bomb. From the trailers, it looks a horribly ill-conceived mess. The mannerisms and actions of these new guys -- right down to their costumes -- would, I expect, make the stars of the original either laugh their asses off or never stop throwing up. It also appears to have too much of a comic book mentality approach, more SIN CITY than DODGE CITY, with as many historical anachronisms flying around as bullets, arrows, and phoney macho preening. I think I've taken enough of a dump on that one for the time being!
