I don't know but it sounds like Jerry Goldsmith.

The dialogue is from the live action 101 Dalmatians, so I would assume the music is from Michael Kamen's score.

Yes, but it's not Kamen's score. This is the temp score.

Wild guess : based on a previous similar request about that very same movie, it may be John Williams' HOOK

That wasn't the temp track. That scene was actually temped with bits from Death Becomes Her. Although there are a couple of Williams scores used in this one.

Sounds like Christopher Young to me.

Had a skim through Species but couldn't find that passage (I don't think Shazam would tag that as it's a speciality release).

Dang, just as they get to where the orchestra starts playing a real bit of (identifiable) melody, it cuts off.

I appreciate your sarcasm, but I really hope someone here could identify it. By the way, the ending bit is Gathering Votes from The American President.

Huh?!? The ending bit of the sample you posted above? Doesn't sound like it to me...

Sorry, I got it all wrong. I thought he meant the very last bit (where you can hear the puppy squeal), but now I know what he meant by that. I've heard that piece before but can't remember where.

Gotcha! Doesn't ring any immediate bells for me, but based on richuk's mention of Christopher Young, I'm sampling a few of his scores but haven't hit paydirt, yet.

Reminds me a bit of both Young's "The Fly II" and Goldsmith's "The Shadow," but I can't tell for sure if it's either of those. I'm not as familiar with Young's "Species," but going by my memory of it that also seems like a possibility.

Yes, its sounds a great deal like Young's THE FLY II, but having just sampled the CD earlier this afternoon, I didn't come across the exact excerpt. Same with Young's HELLRAISER.

And I can totally see/hear where you're coming from with Goldsmith's THE SHADOW, too.
