After trying on JNH's suspense shoes for DANS LA MAISON, Rombi now tries on those John Powell boots for this modern sounding score to the recent banking/trading crisis film from France. That ubiquitous pulse that permeates almost every score these days can be found coursing through the veins of this one. There are some tender(ish) moments from piano and violin here and there, but to me, so far, this is indistinguishable from the many other scores I own (or have heard) in this vein. That modern vibe makes EVERYTHING sound the same! Thoughts?
