It's quite possible to channel hop and watch several films or programmes concurrently. I don't know what the science behind this sort of thing says, but I'm fairly certain it can be done. You have to spend a number of seconds on each with sufficiency to extrapolate continuity between each film/programme as you go. You might not get the whole picture, but at least your brain can be forced out of retirement for a while. Heck, you could even swig from a can or two until things get even more fuzzy.
