THE WALKING DEAD---new trailer released for Season 7.

AMERICAN HORROR STORY---trailer released for Season 6.

Trailer link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6O_6AWhezvU

PASSENGERS---synopsis and photo released for the sci fi movie starring Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Pratt.

"On a routine journey through space to a new home, two passengers, sleeping in suspended animation, are awakened 90 years too early when their ship malfunctions. As Jim (Chris Pratt) and Aurora (Jennifer Lawrence) face living the rest of their lives on board, with every luxury they could ever ask for, they begin to fall for each other, unable to deny their intense attraction… until they discover the ship is in grave danger. With the lives of 5000 sleeping passengers at stake, only Jim and Aurora can save them all."

WONDER WOMAN---a supposed ex-Warner Bros. employee's open letter to studio CEO Kevin Tsujihara criticized him including the upcoming WONDER WOMAN movie.

“What are you even doing? I wish to God you were forced to live out of a car until you made a #1 movie of the year. Maybe Wonder Woman wouldn’t be such a mess. Don’t try to hide behind the great trailer. People inside are already confirming it’s another mess. It is almost impressive how you keep rewarding the same producers and executives for making the same mistakes, over and over.”

WONDER WOMAN director Patty Jenkins replied,

“Woah, just saw this press about WW having problems. Are they serious? This is some made up bs right here. Made up! Produce a source, anyone. You can’t because it’s entirely false. Don’t believe the hype people. Someone’s trying to spread some serious misinfo. Let me reassure you…Zero about the movie we are making has been called a mess by anyone in the know. Fact. Real lasso of truth, time, will reveal that letter to be false soon enough. But lame something so transparent in its agenda gets traction.”

DEADPOOL 2---a rumor claims the leading candidates for sequel roles are Kyle Chandler (FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS) as Cable and Mackenzie Davis (THE MARTIAN) as Domino.

THOR: RAGNAROK---the Warriors Three are apparently returning for the sequel after Ray Stephenson was photographed at a tattoo parlor near the film set and and Tadanobu Asano released a photo of himself also near the film set. Zachary Levi hinted recently that he is also returning.

BATMAN v SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE---Kevin Conroy, the voice of Batman, commented on Batman killing people in the sequel, “In the most recent live action movie, that seems to have been a line that was crossed and it’s not one I’m particularly comfortable with.”

SUPERGIRL---executive producer Andrew Kreisberg said Project Cadmus, a group that seeks to destroy alien life on Earth, will be the "big bad" for the first half of Season 2, “[Project Cadmus is] dedicated to eradicating alien life on Earth. They’re fanatics. They’re true believers. It’s a collection of scientists, of very bright, patriotic people who truly believe what they’re saying. That makes them even more dangerous.”

GOTHAM---executive producer John Stephens said, "It is 100% our intention to bring Jerome back".

CRIMINAL MINDS---Thomas Gibson is consulting with lawyers for a possible lawsuit after he was fired. Gibson kicked writer/producer Virgil Williams over creative differences in an episode that Gibson was directing.

DOWNTON ABBEY--Michelle Dockery commented on a possible theatrical movie, "That is something I would wholeheartedly consider, so we will see. It may not be over yet."

HE-MAN AND THE MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE---McG is in talks to direct the remake movie.

WHITE TIGER---sources say Netflix and Marvel Studios completed a pilot short for WHITE TIGER which will feature a female character. This led to speculation that it is Angela Del Toro, an ex-FBI agent and niece of the original White Tiger. However, another source said the short pilot report is not true.

LAST CHANCE U---Netflix renewed the series for Season 2.

THE NIGHTLY SHOW WITH LARRY WILMORE---Comedy Central cancelled the show.

I'm REALLY, really looking forward to this. Not only because it's directed by our new Norwegian wunderkid director Morten Tyldum (well, kid is perhaps stretching it, as he's almost 50), but also because the concept itself seems very much up my alley.

I read the screenplay a few years ago and it was a very decent read with some exciting and ethically interesting bits. The ending sort of made sense but also didn't, so i'd be interested to see what has changed in it. It's basically a 2 person movie for the vast majority of it. If it's still based solely on a Spaights script.

Thor, I don't want to know what's up your alley.

Anyway, this movie sounds like a depressing variation of "Lost in Space." Wonder if it'll have a robot in it screaming "Danger! Danger!"

So he was comfortable with Batman killing in Batman (1989), Batman Returns, Batman Forever, Batman Begins, The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises? roll eyes

Though he aids in Ra's al Ghul's death in BB, who exactly does he kill in The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises?

Sounds like the plot complication in Philip K. Dick's "I hope I will arrive soon," but goes on to the same cliche action crap.
Why is it that some serendipitous event always leads to large, life-saving action thriller films? Like how the "Last Mimsy" was extrapolated from a perfectly great short story into some ridiculous cliffhanger crap with the Universe in the balance!

Me to! Wish there was an original adult sci fi released every year. Can't imagine JL signing on to poor script.

A whole chemical plant filled with the Joker's goons.

Here are some of the people Batman has killed throughout his cinematic career.

Here is his kill count from Batman v. Superman

There's quite a few people that Batman clearly did not kill in that first video that are attributed to him. For instance, everyone in Batman Forever save for Two Face weren't actually killed by Batman.

It's arguable as to whether Batman killed Penguin and Two Face directly.

Can't credit Batman for any of the kills in Batman Begins - he was Bruce Wayne at the beginning of the movie, and he explicitly says he doesn't kill Ra's Al Ghul.

Who knows if the trash truck driver in The Dark Knight actually died.

Same goes for several of the random thugs at the beginning of the BvS clip.

Yes, Batman kills people in the movies, but those two videos are exaggerating the total.

Exactly: "I won't kill you. But I don't have to save you." Ra's was the architect of his own demise.

The Wonder Woman kerfuffle sounds like it could potentially be a case of a Marvel operative simply attempting to marr the efforts of a serious competitor, especially in light of substantial profits. Marvel and DC have had a bit of a war going on for some time, with each parallelling the other (eg. Darkseid/Thanos)... perhaps this might also be an effort to deflect attention from the inevitable question of, "Who ripped off the other?" or to suborn that discussion to a different set of criteria.

I agree that Batman's culpability is questionable in many of the scenes, particularly with Penguin. I think Batman is absolutely responsible for Two Face's death. Batman was clearly aware of the significance the coin had on Two Face and he exploited that weakness. Of course that clip ignores the context of that scene, which was Two Face pointing a gun at Batman and being ready to kill him until Batman reminded him that he needed to flip his coin before pulling the trigger.

It is splitting hairs, but I think Batman is morally responsible for Ra's Al Ghul's death. He was in a position to save him and chose not to. It wouldn't be a big deal if the Nolan trilogy hadn't made such a big deal of Batman's "one rule".

The video also doesn't show the number of criminals' deaths Batman is indirectly responsible for in BvS. Batman had a practice of branding criminals, and if someone went to prison with the brand the inmates would kill him. If Clark could figure this out with a bit of research, certainly Batman was aware of the impact that would come from branding a criminal.

All that said, Batman killing in movies doesn't necessarily bother me. What works in one medium doesn't necessarily work in others, and I doubt the general audience cares at all whether Batman kills anyone. Most of the people Batman kills in the above clips are clearly in self defense. The Ghul death bothers me because Batman did't have to let him die, but it was done to make the moment more exciting. I remember a good chunk of the audience cheered when Batman left Ghul in the train at the end of Batman Begins.

As Dragon notes, the authenticity of the letter is questionable. Assuming it is authentic, it is likely a bitter ex-employee pretending to have more knowledge than he/she actually has. The more likely scenario is that the letter is a hoax from some troll seeking attention. I doubt Marvel has anything to do with this.

Yeah, I still never heard of Wilmore/Gilmore.

This was a good show that I enjoyed and watched every night. Not as good as the show it replaced, but whatever they put in the Nightly Show slot (eventually) isn't going to be as good either. And, until they can come up with something, the replacement is going to be @Midnight. Which, if one show HAD to be canceled, I'd have prefered it have been this one. I watch it, but I wouldn't miss it if it were canceled.

I think they should have given it more time to find an audience. It took awhile for The Daily Show to evolve and become as popular as it is today. 4+ years according to Wikipedia, which says "The show's 2000 and 2004 election coverage, combined with a new satirical edge, helped to catapult Stewart and The Daily Show to new levels of popularity and critical respect" (1st aired in 1996).
