Having occasion to look up director Don Siegel at WikiPedia, I ran across this far into his professional bio:
"Schifrin composed and recorded what would have been his sixth score for Siegel on JINXED! (1982), but it was rejected by the studio despite Siegel's objections. This was one of several fights Siegel had on this, his last film."
Boy, this is news to me. Has anybody else ever heard anything about this? Gergely Hubai?
This famously troubled production was produced by the perpetually distressed MGM/UA, and the final music credit goes to Bruce Roberts and Miles Goodman.
Info' on that one is hard to come by. All I found for my Rejected Film Scores website (currently offline because the host provider is offline) is a quick quote from the late Richard Shores, whom said it was a "clever score".
One of eight confirmed rejected scores in 1982. A rather light year compared to now.
