THE WALKING DEAD---Season 7 rumors claim that Sydney Park (INSTANT MOM) will play a new character, Jennie, a teenager who is with a group of women and children who find Tara and a corpse washed up on a beach. The corpse may be Heath. Jennie may be based on the comic book's Lydia.
DARK UNIVERSE---Doug Liman (EDGE OF TOMORROW) will direct the Warner Bros. movie which has also been referred to as JUSTICE LEAGUE DARK. Liman is no longer involved with the Channing Tatum GAMBIT movie.
CAPTAIN MARVEL---the top candidates to direct the Brie Larson movie are Niki Caro (WHALE RIDER), Lesli Linka (THE WALKING DEAD) and Lorene Scafaria (THE MEDDLER).
ALITA: BATTLE ANGEL---Christoph Waltz is in talks to play Doctor Dyson.
DOCTOR STRANGE---Dan Harmon (COMMUNITY) will rewrite scenes for reshooting.
ORVILLE---untitled Seth MacFarlane live action sci fi series described set on the spaceship Orville which is “a not-so-top-of-the-line exploratory ship in Earth’s interstellar Fleet. Facing cosmic challenges from without and within, this motley crew of space explorers will boldly go where no comedic drama has gone before.” MacFarlane, Adrianne Palicki and Scott Grimes star. Jon Favreau (IRON MAN) will direct the pilot.
FANTASTIC FOUR---Kate Mara commented on a possible sequel, "Oh yeah, I’d love to be a part of a FANTASTIC FOUR sequel or whatever they may or may not have in store for us. I know that all of the guys feel the same way, we love working with each other and we would love to actually play these characters in another way somehow in the future. I have no idea if that’s actually true, if that will happen, but I would be really happy to do it."
GHOSTBUSTERS---the FBI is now investigating the hacking of Leslie Jones's iCloud account, “Sources familiar with the situation tell us, the FBI is developing a strategy for tracking down the person or people who hacked into her iCloud and cell phone and posted nude photos and personal information on her website."
BRITNEY---Lifetime tv movie about Britney Spears starring Natasha Bassett (HAIL, CAESAR!).
THE ANGRY BIRDS MOVIE---the sequel is underway at Rovio Entertainment.
SUPERSTITION---movie underway about college students starting a "death pool" after their campus is plagued by murders. After the winner collects his earnings, the murders ramp up. Kevin and Michael Goetz (MARTYRS) are the co-directors.
RISE---CW series under development in which a group investigates a terrorist attack which may be a cover-up.
