Last year, as an experiment, whenever I found money, I would put it in a cup, and counted it at the end(Last year I found a grand total of $40.60). I've continued with the "experiment" this year. Now... I find money on the floor in stores, in change returns on vending machines, on sidewalks...none of that is unusual. THIS is what I would like someone to explain to me..... On more than one occasion I have found money..... IN THE MIDDLE OF INTERSECTIONS!!!! I ask you, WHY would there be money in the middle of an intersection? My theory is that some people have so little regard for money that the DELIBERATELY throw it out their car windows. Any thoughts?

Somewhere along the line, you began to EXPECT it. That is a spiritual TRUTH. It is a Biblical concept. Your hope and expectation works hand-in-hand with faith. NOW that you expect to receive it, you always will! If I were you…I would set my sights a bit higher, and begin to expect DOLLARS instead of change!

I'm still wondering why you'd think up sucking donkey balls! You're one strange dude, and what the hell are you doing in the middle of intersections, trying to get run over? Keep your eyes down looking for pocket change and I think you'll soon be the late Jim Cleveland.

When two cars collide, small change can fly out of the passenger compartment. Or it could come out of the pockets of a falling cyclist. That's probably what you found.

Somebody has a lot of stuff in their pocket, they reach in there for an item, it yanks out a bill or two and the person doesn't realize it, and it gets blown away. It ends up in the intersection. Of course, that's assuming it's real money and not one of those folded bills you open up and on the inside it's a religious pamplet. Someone around here leaves those hiding on grocery stores shelves and even in the bathroom. Now do remember: if you find a bag of cash hiding someplace, don't tell anybody. You've found a secret exchange drop. Walk very quickly and make sure you aren't followed. Then send that money care of: FSM, Intrada, LLLR, etc.

You often see bums (excuse me...homeless persons) asking for money at traffic intersections holding a hand-written cardboard sign reading "Out of Work - Please Help" or words to that effect. This strikes me as the most likely explanation. However, also remember that the middle of the intersection is where there is the least traffic. I often seen trash, leaves, etc. settle into neat piles after being blown around by the wind, or other forces (heavy rain, whatever). Small change may land in the street in many ways. After that, feet and tires toss it about until it settles somewhere where it will not be further disturbed. One would then expect to see change at the edges of the street, and not just the center. Traffic may pull right up the edges, again leaving the center the least traveled. All considered, the panhandlers seems the most direct explanation for the phenomenon.
