Okay, I dug this out of my cobwebs. Years ago I did a little finagling with John and Bill's wonderful recordings and put together a score suite for FMTWM. I'm sure by this time they won't mind me sharing it with fans of the picture. The midi bit at the end was done by John. This is a pure piece of chutzpah.
FMTWM was the first Universal horror film I really got into in the late 1950s. In 1961 I recorded some of it off TV with a reel to reel recorder. It's a great score.
Peter, it's my go-to feel good movie. I recorded all the Uni's from CREATURE FEATURES on WNEW. Then, when they went to WOR I re-recorded them for alternate cuts. Then edited them together. What a lost childhood!!!
But the clincher is the last bit. I was pretty happy there was SOME acknowledgement of that song! Wonderful. I have wondered what Bill and John would have done for that if they'd included it on a rerecording...

LOL throw in Million Dollar Movie on WOR and Chiller Theatre on WPIX (with a small dose of the 4:30 Movie on WABC) and back in time we go.
Wonderful suite, Ray. Got it on right now. Going crazy on the "transformation" cue. And there's the Maleva solo violin/viola/whatever! Who knew we could get so much mileage out of a discussion of FMTWM.
Why I oughta...somehow some way just KNEW you were looking for an excuse to export that monstrosity from the other thread. Be gone before someone drops a house on you, too!

Ray, maybe we belong on the ISLAND OF LOST SOULS ........ 1932 version of course!
