SW where did you buy the 10 commandments and jagged edge. Intrada and varese I said this a while ago buy cd's from SAE if you have custom issues no one listens so you all pay the price. shop at SAE and buy 5-6 every think will be ok no custom's, take note of it or you will be priced out again.

SAE are not exempt from the UK's policy on import charges. It applies to all CD sellers, not just selected ones. The only thing is that they snatch imported CDs on a random basis—sometimes your discs get through and sometimes they don't.

Mine all way's get threw ok because I will not buy more than what I say 6 cd's max. SAE mark my cd's at 3 dollars each so 6x3 is 18. well under the custom's. take note of this Stephen and you will be fine next time you make a purchase.

My theory (probably completely wrong) is that customs keep a database of our names, and if they think we're ordering goods from abroad on a regular basis, they finally decide to apply a customs charge every time the name gets flagged up on their system.

TT no they don't have a data base on names but soon as your parcel/box is over 15 pounds around 20 dollars at the moment they will hammer you.

I collected this from my local post office today, because of the dreaded custom charges. This and Robocop 3 effectively cost a total of over £62. For just 2 discs, this is a day's full pay for many folks in the UK!

I had to pay a £17 customs charge for the box of all three CDs today.

I had to pay a ransom of £27 (GBP) this morning—that's about $44 (USD)—to get my Ten Commandments and Jagged Edge CDs. That's on top of having already paid excruciating USPS shipping rates.

That's appalling.

TBH I have already scaled down my soundtrack purchases in a big way. The USPS changes were bad but the effect of Brexit on the pound sealed it.

I do wonder if the labels have noticed a big drop in orders from the UK?

I have looked at many European sellers but their prices are higher than if I had ordered from the US.

Nothing the labels can do as the USPS rate increases are out of their control.

Perhaps anyone going on holiday to the US can order a stack of stuff on our behalf and only pay US domestic rates smile

Tried to order this CD, but Varese says it SOLD OUT.

My copy turned up yesterday, along with Robocop 3. Fast turnaround by Intrada.
