It's not October yet. I'll wait until the month seizes me.

Always IT! THE TERROR FROM BEYOND SPACE (Paul Sawtell/Bert Shefter). No love themes -- just scares and spooky atmosphere.

Also, THE LAST MAN ON EARTH (same composers).

The Haunting of Hill House + The Haunting of Bly Manor.
They are so perfect for autumn!

And the SCREAM scores for sure!

Forgot about these two scores. Very creepy, especially Season 1. Adding to the list.

True, season 1 is more creepy/dark but so beautiful at the same time. While season 2 is more romantic and beautiful but has some creepy elements. Own both CDs.

Yup, as acathia mentioned above, time to give those Haunting scores another spin. I enjoy The Haunting of Hill House show the best but actually prefer the score to Bly Manor.

Right now, listening to Carpenter's Halloween II.

Again, a couple of years later, the excellent, brilliantly performed and recorded (but terribly-named) "Satan Superstar" album by Stanley Black and the National Philharmonic tops my list of recommendations.

I believe this is exactly how Gene Moore composed the music for Carnival of Souls!

(That prolonged side lick really made all the difference in the development of this piece, btw.)
