THE WALKING DEAD---AMC released the synopsis for Season 7.
"Up until this point, our characters have lived through conflicts… Disease, hunger, scores of the undead, tragedy, betrayal, and unthinkable loss. Through this, they’ve become formidable. Powerful. Unstoppable.
To start season seven, that power is taken away. They had found safety and stability. They had created a home. They thought the world was theirs. They thought they knew the world. They were wrong.
The first half of season seven sees our group fractured, broken, bereaved, and picking up the pieces while living under the thumb of oppression. Negan will have successfully brought the survivors under his control, brutally convincing them to live under his rules with a deadly and horrific example of what happens if they don’t.
Other characters are unaware of what’s happened, but have become separated from the group either by incident or choice – they will learn that they can’t escape this new turn of their world, either. This half-season is about these characters starting over.
The overall theme of the season is beginning again. The world isn’t what they thought it was. It’s bigger and it’s even more dangerous."
S.W.A.T.---new CBS tv series remake underway based on the 2003 movie that starred Samuel L. Jackson and Colin Farrell and the ABC tv series that starred Steve Forrest. The new series involves a black lieutenant who heads a unit of tough misfit cops. Justin Lin (STAR TREK BEYOND) is the executive producer and may direct the pilot.
DRACULA UNTOLD---Luke Evans commented on possibly returning for the Universal Studio reboots of its classic monster movies, “There have been talks and conversations. I think the bigger picture is exciting for all the monsters that they own. There is talk about it. I just don’t know how it will all manifest itself. I think it will happen and I think they’re just working out how these monsters interact and how they end up in the same realm with each other. If they can stick Captain America in a scene with Iron Man and Thor, I think you can definitely put Wolf Man, the Invisible Man, The Mummy and Dracula in the same film as well.”
VALIANT COMICS---Sony Pictures five-movie series underway based on the comic books. The first movie is HARBINGER which is about a teen runaway with telekinetic powers. The script is by Eric Heisserer (ARRIVAL).
The second movie, BLOODSHOT, is about a dying soldier who is resurrected with nanotechnology to pursue the harbinger psionics from HARBINGER.
The third movie, HARBINGER WARS, is a crossover movie.
Other characters involved include HARD Corps, Livewire, Generation Zero and Faith.
AMAZON---Amazon ordered series for THE TICK starring Peter Serafinowicz, JEAN-CLAUDE VAN JOHNSON starring Jean-Claude Van Damme and I LOVE DICK starring Kevin Bacon.
TRUE SKIN is an Amazon series underway based on the short film about a man who is implanted with a mysterious chip that begins to turn him into a robot as other pursue him to get the chip. Nicole Perlman (GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY) will write the script.
DOCTOR STRANGE---Benedict Cumberbatch hinted the Illuminati may be in the movie, “I think playing any iconic role when you’re stepping into big shoes, into the shadow of people who have come before you and you can’t process that in a movie to movie basis … I’m excited to see where the Illuminati and whatever else might happen, how that works, and where it ends up."
THE FLASH---director Rick Famuyiwa hinted Cyborg may be in the movie.
PACIFIC RIM 2---Adria Arjona (TRUE DETECTIVE) has joined the cast in an undisclosed role.
SNAPSHOT 1988---movie underway based on the Joe Hill, Stephen Kin's son, novella.
THE TWILIGHT SAGA---Lionsgate co-chairman Patrick Wachsberger said another movie is possible, “It’s a possibility. Not a certainty but it’s a possibility. It’s about Stephenie [Meyer]. If she wants to tell a story related to those characters we’re here for her.”
FIREWATCH---movie underway based on the video game.
COYOTE---tv series underway based on the sci fi novels about rebels hijacking a spaceship headed to populate other planets.
