When I was a much younger man, I did a lot of local theatre. I was cast as "El Gallo" in The Fantasticks when I was 20 years old. For the costuming, I needed a cape. My mother, a talented seamstress, produced a truly elegant cape for me. Having never before made a cape, she approached the assignment with a great deal of fear. The play was a huge success!
