Although produced and released by Universal, after 25 years, the rights to the film reverted to novelist J.B. Priestley, upon whose 1927 novel "Benighted" the film was based. The film was then purchased by Raymond Rohauer, whose 700-plus film collection was acquired by the Cohen Media Group in 2012.
