I know John and the TFC team disappeared long ago from this blog and probably he will not read this post but… I’d like to express my personal immense gratitude to him, William Stromberg and Anna Bonn for the treasures of classic film music they produced for BMG, Marco Polo/Naxos and Tribute Film Classics, giving us endless pleasure with their score reconstructions of Steiner, Korngold, Herrmann, Waxman, Tiomkin, Sainton, Salter, Skinner, Arnold, Deutsch, Young, Newman and many more... His 70th birthday is an appropriate and sincere tribute to this great champion of film music reconstruction. I have all of their cds and, along with the Tadlow recordings, they are the most often played and enjoyed. Happy birthday John Morgan! Sincerely Riccardo, from Italy

Happy birthday indeed! I wish you guys at TFC could find a way to make your great recordings profitable again, but I suppose not enough people support these classic restorations. Reduced liner notes/booklet, don't license official photos/poster art, different orchestra/recording venue? I don't know, I'm not in the business, and I'm sure you guys have thought of everything that could make this series work again, but I sure would've liked to have seen A and C meet Frankenstein, All That Money Can buy, etc, etc.
