Also, some might be interested to know that Beltrami has been kind enough to post a few of the cues that didn't make it onto this Deluxe Edition on his official website:
1) 1m1 Phil Gets the Point 2) 11m1 Gale Bumps Into Cotton 3) STAB Suite (can't believe he posted this! crazy. btw this music is written by Kevin Manthei who had a hand in the synth programming for the first few Scream scores as well as add'l music for Resident Evil -- and in case anyone was wondering, it was written to purposefully sound like cheesy horror music )
You can add the cues to your new Scream 2 Deluxe Edition CD to make it more Deluxer. 1m1 Phil Gets the Point should actually be 1m6 Phil Gets the Point and would appear following Phil Scares Maureen. 11m1 Gale Bumps Into Cotton would appear following Sid Needs a New Roommate. The Stab Suite would appear anytime after Opening and before Maureen Steals the Show (or at the end of the CD if you'd prefer).

Thanks DeputyRiley! Still scratching my head as to why these cues weren't included on the "Deluxe Edition", at least the two Beltrami tracks. But having the STAB Suite is a great bonus as well.

Right click the number/play button to the left of the track titles and then click on "save target as" and then you should be able to save the track to the destination of your choosing as an mp3
People. Seriously??? Not one single comment on this release by someone who's received it since it was shipped on October 24th? Wow.
Sorry for a lack of reply on my thoughts. I was just mentioning on another board how TERRIBLE I am at reviews. "It was fun" and "I was bored" are my go-to descriptions. lol
However, I've only had a chance to listen to it completely once. The other times have been on RANDOM with the other 4-5 scores that I bought around the same time. But I continue to listen to it in spurts, especially within my Scream iPod playlist.
Some observations... my favorite tracks are mostly the ones that appeared on the Scream/Scream2 combined score ("Maureen Steals The Show" and "Dewey and Gail Attacked"-- I love the fast strings in the hallway chase scene). Maybe it is just familiarity, because I love all of it. I haven't watched the movie in a while so in a sense, it was a lot like hearing the music for the first time. I am hoping to do a Scream marathon next month for the 20th Anniversary so I will probably give it more of my undivided attention (what little undivided attention I can afford to spare) around that time.

Oh, no problem and no need for review, just wanted some sort of confirmation that someone else was actually glad that this was released beyond "ordered!" and that they were actually enjoying it now that they had a chance to hear it. Lots of people have been asking for it for a long time so it's just so strange that this thread is so silent. Oh well, I guess it's only been a few weeks...but still...
Finally picked this up...it's been a long wait since 1997. Fantastic release! And what a joy to hear those wild and over-the-top orchestral theatrics. John Kurlander did an excellent job recording the killer chops of the Hollywood freelance players in Todd-AO.
Love the score for all the Scream movies!! Hopefully they'll do one for Scream 3 as well. All though the worst of the movies, it's my favorite when it comes to score.
Sorry if this has been answered already...
For this deluxe version. The score from the very last scene is missing. The scene where Sidney let's Cotton get all the attentions and calls him the hero. Is this score by Marco Beltrami? Or is it perhaps the actual intro to the song that starts right after?
I've got a question about "Your Lucky Day": this is "It's Over, Sid" from the OST, but what scene was it written for? Sid's intro, which has the song "Your Lucky Day in Hell" playing over it, or the closing images of the film? The DE suggests the former, but the OST suggests the latter. Since the cue title is taken from the song, and the cue maybe fits the end more, my guess is the latter, but anyone who knows what it was actually meant to underscore?
