WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 26 GAME OF THRONES---photos show Jon Snow having a hostile meeting with Theon Greyjoy and a friendlier meeting with Tyrion Lannister. THE PREDATOR---Shane Black updatd the 20th Century Fox sequel, “I think the Predator movies have slightly veered from typical sci-fi in that there is a sort of thriller aspect to them. I think it should be scary, I think it should be funny, and I think ultimately it should be wondrous and about perceiving things that human beings very seldom get a chance to see… I don’t mean movie audiences I mean characters in the movie. I’m not saying the movie will be nothing anyone’s seen before (laughs).” He added, “Fox has been very cooperative. I mean part of it is the success they had with DEADPOOL, but I also made a case – and I think they agreed – that fans of the Predator generally, probably aren’t looking to go to see a PG-13-rated version of it. It would be more of a letdown if it was sort of tailored to a family friendly audience than if it were allowed to play out to the same scale and level that the first R-rated one did.” ROGUE ONE: A STAR WARS STORY---fan-generated ROGUE ONE parody poster featuring Jar Jar Binks. UNCHARTED---Shawn Levy (NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM) will direct the movie based on the video game. UNCHAINED---John Malkovich, Adrien Brody and Antonio Banderas star in this movie about three crooks, fleeing from the police, seek refuge in a warehouse where they're trapped by an attack dog named DeNiro. INCARNATE---horror movie about a scientist who can enter the subconscious of possessed people and tries to free a young boy from a demon. Aaron Eckhart (SULLY) and Carice Van Houten (GAME OF THRONES) star. ALEX HAWKE---Paramount Pictures bought the movie rights to the novels about MI6 agent Sir Alexander Hawke. ZOE---romance movie starring Charlie Hunnam (SONS OF ANARCHY) and Lea Seydoux (SPECTRE) in which two scientists develop technology to improve romantic relationships with profound results. THE BEAUTIFUL AND THE DAMNED---Scarlett Johansson will star in this movie based on F. Scott Fitzgerald's play about his marriage to Zelda Fitzgerald. OLIVER TWIST---Ice Cube stars in this Walt Disney Pictures modern, hip-hop movie based on the classic Charles Dickens book. THE TERRANAUTS---CW sci fi tv series underway based on the novel about eight scientists in a biosphere experiment designedm to simulate colony life on another planet. Jim Parsons (THE BIG BANG THEORY) is the producer. KNIGHT RIDER---new digital series remake based on the David Hasselhoff series is underway with Justin Lin (STAR TREK BEYOND) as the producer. FRONTIER---Netflix renewed the series for Season 2. UWE BOLL---the German director said he's calling it quits, “The market is dead, you don’t make any money anymore on movies because the DVD and Blu-ray market worldwide has dropped 80% in the last three years. That is the real reason; I just cannot afford to make movies. I never had people giving me money. I’ve been using my money since 2005 and if I hadn’t made the stupid video game based movies I would never have amalgamated the capital so I could say, ‘Let’s make the Darfur movie.’ I don’t need a Ferrari, I don’t need a yacht. I invested in my own movies and I lost money.”

THE PREDATOR---Shane Black updatd the 20th Century Fox sequel, “I think the Predator movies have slightly veered from typical sci-fi in that there is a sort of thriller aspect to them. I think it should be scary, I think it should be funny Funny?! Please, no. We have enough self-conscious genre films around. Glad it's getting a sequel, though. I actually loved the PREDATORS movie a few years back. OLIVER TWIST---Ice Cube stars in this Walt Disney Pictures modern, hip-hop movie based on the classic Charles Dickens book. Geezes....seriously? UWE BOLL---the German director said he's calling it quits, “The market is dead, you don’t make any money anymore on movies because the DVD and Blu-ray market worldwide has dropped 80% in the last three years. That is the real reason; I just cannot afford to make movies. I never had people giving me money. I invested in my own movies and I lost money.” Uwe Boll has always been a fascinating character to me. He's always been a punching bag for critics and audiences alike, and often hailed as the worst director working today, but I've always given him the benefit of the doubt -- waiting for that ONE good film that could redeem him. Alas, that won't happen now.
