Just a heads up to all interested and can access it, that the UK radio channel has two shows of interest coming soon, both being trailed regularly on daytime radio at the moment: Friday Night is Music Night celebrates 80 years of continual BBC TV service with a tv music special concert: http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b07znc3n Then next Tuesday Tony Hatch presents a show looking at the importance of the tv theme: http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b080jbj0 Hatch is himself a composer of some pretty iconic themes, many of them soaps, but my favourite is Out of This World. This 1962 sf anthology series is survived by only one out of it's 13 episodes, presented by Boris Karloff. I had the 7" vinyl single (on the Pye label) given to me as a little kid by my uncle to start of my record collection (too young to remember the series sadly), along with the Decca release of the Doctor Who theme. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=liHNAL521NU https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Out_of_This_World_(UK_TV_series)
