You'd have thought they would have made the cases with wider 'teeth' settings to accommodate those extra thick booklets ?

Hey, in my opinion this would be an interesting idea ... it would be a way to not tear these exaggeratedly thick booklets ... anyway, I think they would say that the cost would be higher because would not be cases of popular standard .... money money money ...

It's the fault of the people who invented those plastic cases. Whoever thought back in 1980 that these things were a good idea? They do protect the cd, but that's it.

Or maybe it's the fault of the people who make the booklets too thick.

Never had this problem with pop or rock music CDs, but soundtrack fans seem to want the entire history of the film and music in their booklets.

I personally have no interest in the history of A - Z of movies ... I consider an overstatement of information these thick booklets ... if I want information about the film I will research on the internet sites, IMDB, etc .....

Of course, a mini biography of the composer, when he recorded the soundtrack, some particularity of work itself, year, location, studio, etc it is interesting .... for example, the covers/booklets from Kritzerland are ideal, without exaggeration, and very informative, in my opinion ... I love these Kritzerland's booklets/covers ...

Booklets, digipacks, CD-Rs....

It's only CD-Rs that stops me purchasing something.

I can't say I've had many problems with booklets. Everything that comes in standard cases have been fine. The only ones I don't like is when the booklet is made oversized, and housed in an outer slipcase/cardboard box instead. I think I had a folded booklet with one of the FSM boxsets, where the cases were put into the box after the booklet, and folded the booklet in the process.

But generally, the manufacturing assembly has been fine for me. It's usually second-hand purchases where I find the end user hasn't slid the booklet in properly, and is over the one of the raised clamps which then makes a permanent "half moon" shape in the paper when the case is closed.
