Is anyone other than myself interested in an expanded release of "Out Of Africa"?

Absolutely - but how much of it was left off the original release?

Yes, me too. There isn't 'loads' of extra music, but it's a great score. As a reference the Varese recording of the score, which is still not the complete score by the way, but from memory it's only missing a couple of really short cues, has 32 minutes of John Barry's score, versus the John Barry recording on MCA records which has 28. I believe Barry himself said there was 36 minutes of his score, but for all we know that might have been a rough guess rather than an exact tally. So, including the two short cues missing from even the Varese recording, we're talking about 5 minutes of additional music, but those 5 minutes contain some really sweet short cues. There may also be an alternate version of the Karen's Journey cue, as the film's audio commentary explains that Pollack asked Barry to re-do that cue. I'd argue there's an even more compelling case for the complete original recording of Somewhere In Time. Cheers

Agree with Stephen's assessment. SOMEWHERE IN TIME is in more need of a complete recording plus OUT AFRICA can also be remastered. I think both were on MCA records. Maybe a two-fer or a 2 disc set with alternates, Melissa Manchester's recording of "The Music of Goodbye, etc. Both are high on my list of favorite Barry scores.
