Roger says

Our last three releases of the year come to you next Tuesday.

The first is an early 90s family Christmas tale, just in time for the holidays. If this score doesn't put you in the holiday spirit, I'm not sure anything will!

Next comes a sequel score featuring beautiful themes, separated from it's predecessor by over 10 years.

And finally a straight LP reissue from an early 70s sci-fi classic. Unfortunately an exhaustive (and I mean exhaustive) search did not reveal any master elements of any kind, so this had to be mastered from a pristine copy of the LP. It the masters ever surface, we'll revisit.

Return to the Blue Lagoon as second title, no doubts...

Christmas Vacation is a 1989 film, not an early 90s film

Return to the Blue Lagoon for the second sounds right

Not sure what sci-fi classic from 1970-1973 could be the third title

Silent Running (1972), the lack of any tapes release could be the reason for no CD release so far.

Ahh, just beat me!

The second title should be on this list:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_the_longest_gaps_between_film_sequels

Looking at the titles with 11-13 year gaps, I don't know if any of them have "beautiful themes" except RTTBL...

Indeed, would be great to fill this "gap".

"...so this had to be mastered from a pristine copy of the LP."

If it is indeed SILENT RUNNING, would the above LP source be the Decca original or the Varese reissue?

If that is indeed the batch (Return to the Blue Lagoon is a shoe in) what a great way for Intrada to end the year!

How could we know? It would be from the most pristine they could locate, no?

What did Varese use when they re-issued the Lp? an Lp?

Surprising if they're already doing the sequel! I had presumed they would space the releases out.

Well, slap me with a waste-paper basket (don't ask) if it is indeed Silent Running.

Its the Mother Of All Grails in my book. And the fact that it has to be mastered from vinyl explains why its been so long unreleased.

...which is no doubt why it will actually turnout to be something else entirely, leaving me to bump the Silent Running thread again next year (sob).

The number of early 70s sci-fi movies on LP, but not released on CD, is likely to be one and only one. Unless someone can find an alternative, it must be Silent Running.

Well, there's Gas-s-s-s, but it's not the sort of thing Intrada would do, its status as a sci-fi classic is debatable, and there may have been a CD release, although I'm not sure if it was legitimate.

Well Intrada previously did do Tinkerbells 2 & 3 back to back, so there is precedent.
