Just received a copy of Nigel Westlakes beautiful arrangement.
Don't know how to call such a work is it an adaptation or an inspiration or an original ..its the same with Bernsteins TRADING PLACES I guess...even though he used parts of Mozarts Figaro or in BABES case Saint Saens it somehow stands as an original score...for me
Otherwise most of Horners stuff must be considered as apaption as well, which I don't think is the case..
Any thoughts...its a thin line I guess.
Nevertheless such a great sweet score!

Babe and anything Horner has done are very different...

That said, Westlake's arrangements are hardly trivial either. Now if only there was a release without all the shinanigans (and hell, if there's anything by Goldsmith existing too...)
