Yeah guys, you need to stop letting Thor derail this thread. I don't think it's fair to let me be solely responsible for that (it takes more than one person to derail a thread), but I'm all game for continuing the discussion in this thread, as previously linked: http://www.filmscoremonthly.com/board/posts.cfm?threadID=92848&forumID=1&archive=0 I'm just teasing, but the fact is that you posted to complain about no one discussing the music, then stoked the meta derail conversation, then complained about no one discussing the music. You can't have it both ways. You said your peace, man. All is good.

You said your peace, man. He certainly did. I wonder what Yor thinks of AGNES OF GOD.

It's like film music forums have turned into customer service boards! We've certainly lost something along the way, which I find really sad, and which has really killed off much of my forum activity. Sounds grim, and maybe there's a way to get back on track... What about a Listening Party? 1. Set up a thread, preferably with "Listening Party: (album name here)" as the title. 2. Establish a time/date, usually 1-2 weeks ahead. 3. Use this site to coordinate GMT: https://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock 4. Agree to the use of the same album (listening to Warner's Batman in conjunction with LaLaLand's Batman ain't gonna cut it). 5. No rewinds, forwards, or pauses. Just a straight, real time run through. 6. Possibly most important of all, don't be upset that only 5 people show up. Shoot, that's a fully stocked RPG party in my book! 7. Don't set up another Party on the spot. Just test these first few threads out for now. 8. Start out with a short album, to ease scheduling conflicts and allow many more to join in.

A listening party's a great idea! I can certainly try to be a part of it - all depends on the day but otherwise I think it's a great idea. Kudos, Jarre Jarre!

This thread put me in the mind of giving this another spin this morning. Regardless of whatever banner Varese are choosing to release this under, I'd highly recommend the score to anyone who hasn't nabbed a copy. Its hauntingly beautiful (if a little short) and makes me wonder why I don't own more Delerue!

Love the idea of a listening party as well.

This is a great idea! On a side note, just want to say that, with a few annoying exceptions, I love most of the contributors to this board, and have gotten so much enjoyment sharing the love of film music. I've also been exposed to a lot of film scores I may have never encountered were it not for the FSM Message Board. And Thor, I especially like reading your in depth posts (when I have the time ). Yes, I do find myself spending less time here than in the past. Part of that is due to the whining and griping, of which I have little patience. But, part of it is getting older, no longer being single, having a job that doesn't afford an hour here and there to stop by the board, etc. (My indie film days, while busy, did have stretches where I could roam this board much longer than I can now). In all seriousness, this is still a source of great fun!

This release was announced here on 28th November so fans had plenty of time to know that it was coming.
