Yeah clearly the strands dovetailing is the plan. - i just object to every bloody strand getting a whole tedious episode. Mix it up and run several strands concurrently woulda been the optimum idea.
And hey - as for Negan's crew, Poisoning would be my answer. Or using a plan to overrun them with walkers.
Or as with all mobs - cut off the head!
Dont forget Cersei wiped out a whole city using exploding green slime in GOT.

A) JDM is awesome, but they'd better explain how Negan stays on top sooner than later. Because from the looks of things, I see nothing that would prevent anyone in his inner circle from whacking him and taking over (rinse and repeat) regardless of the strength-in-numbers paradigm.

B) See: Cormac McCarthy's The Road.

Your culture is my culture. In the battle of opinions, you need to know your weapons. But just basically telling me I'm mean isn't a defense. Fight! But before you do that, ask, "Is this really worth fighting over." I watch plenty of stuff I hear others say is crap, but do I get offended over it? Ask Thor when he said he didn't care much for THE SAND PEBBLES what my reaction was.

The Sand Pebbles... I too did not care for it. Well-made, but more historically interesting than dramatically interesting.

The book made me cry at the end. The movie made me wish I was watching something else. I don't think McCarthy liked it either.

I have to say Bill, I disagree. TWD does things different, it takes its time and explores characters fully in entire episodes, yes. A lot of people don't care for that, but I dig it. All the other shows are running concurrent plot threads simultaneously in one episode all the time, every episode, and that's typically the way shows do things -- I think it's original and fresh to take detours to explore side characters. Daring, yes, and you do risk alienating audiences, but taking chances does involve risk. TWD has done this for a long time though -- Beth's individual hospital episode in Ssn 5, the Governor's ("Brian") two invidual episodes in Ssn 4, only Beth with Daryl bonding in Ssn 4, only Carol and Tyreese and the girls in Ssn 4, etc. Sometimes you would go two or three episodes without seeing Rick. I guess I could see how some wouldn't care for that, but I thought it was unique that TWD would do that, and I was ok with that, it made for a stronger ensemble cast and gave powerful attention to supporting characters they wouldn't otherwise have received.

They will.

From his interview with Howard Stern, regarding episodes 7.7 and 7.8: "The next two, I'm really big in. I'm heavy in those."

From his interview with Entertainment Weekly: "We're going to find out [how Negan sees this new world] and in doing so, we'll find out how his life has been since the zombie apocalypse started and how he came to be who he is. Negan rules with an iron fist and a sense of humor. He's a very charismatic guy. We're going to get some backstory very quickly on how the Saviors and Negan operate. By midseason, a lot of those questions will be answered."

I liked JDM in "Magic City." I miss that show, well, at least its first season.
