The keyboardist looks awfully familiar...



Of course, it's Mr. Newman.
I've made slight references to his time with that group once or twice here.

I have their album. I bought it back in 1982 when the documentary about the group aired on TV.
What I find strange, though, is that even though there are references to The Innocents on the internet, Newman's own Wiki page makes no mention of it whatsoever.
I'm tempted to explain it with him feeling retroactive artistic embarrassment, but the album isn't bad at all. It's good, fun, new-wavish-power-pop--there's certainly no reason to pretend it never happened.

I wonder if anyone else here has ever sought out the LP.

There are several songs by them on youtube.

I haven't really thought about buying the album though.

Only two years later, Newman wrote great scores like Reckless and Grandview USA...
