THE WALL---trailer released for the sniper movie directed by Doug Liman (THE BOURNE IDENTITY, EDGE OF TOMORROW)

WAR FOR THE PLANET OF THE APES---trailer and poster released for the sequel.
Also, producer Dylan Clark commented on if Koba is really dead, "There was talk between Matt and I, we were bummed a little that we fell in love with Toby Kebbell. Koba is a great character. He was great for entertainment. He was great for Caesar. Caesar loved Koba. He was his brother, until the humans showed up and Koba could not contain his rage and everything was lost...We were really sad to see him in visual effects turnover meetings tumble down three hundred feet and die in a fiery ball of Hell. Yeah, there were conversations like, “They wouldn’t have done that to Darth Vader!” Again, we’re not saying we’re Star Wars good and we’re not saying Koba is Darth Vader good but Darth Vader was the best character out of Star Wars, the original. I think everybody flipped out about that. And so we were like, “Gah! Did we make a mistake killing Koba?” But we have to look each other in the eyes and say, “Could anybody survive that fall… for real?” And the answer is “no.”
Clark also said, half-joking, that Tom Cruise might play an ape in a future sequel, "Although Cruise, I produced OBLIVION. He’s a friend and he loves these movies. So he’s always, like, emailing me: “I want to play an ape…” He’s always messing with me. He’s like, “I’ve figured it out. I’m going to be this ape in the next movie.”

DOCTOR WHO---trailer released for the Christmas special.

ALIEN: COVENANT---20th Century Fox released a trailer and 15 minutes of film footage for New York press members. One press member's reaction was, "Saw two extended scenes from #AlienCovenant and the trailer. Looks badass and horrifying (def looks scarier than Prometheus)."

THE DARK TOWER---photo released from the movie showing the Man in Black (Matthew McConaughey) confronting Roland Deschain (Idris Elba).

JURASSIC WORLD 2---director JA Bayona commented on the sequel's special effects for the dinosaurs, “Obviously you don’t have real dinosaurs — sometimes you have people playing dinosaurs — but we love animatronics and we’re trying to do as much with them as possible. It’s complicated because the audience now is so used to seeing CGI that they’re sometimes reluctant toward animatronics. But at the same time, I think animatronics bring soul and reality to it. We’re trying to find the balance between animatronics and CGI in order to cheat the audience so they don’t know what they’re seeing.”

ROGUE ONE: A STAR WARS STORY---co-star Riz Ahmed commented on the movie's controversial reshoots, “There were a ton of reshoots. But if people want to read anything into that, I’d encourage them to read into it the guts it takes to unpick stitching rather than just try to embroider over it, to make it right. I admire [Lucasfilm President] Kathleen [Kennedy] and Gareth and the whole team for having the guts to go, ‘Let’s reopen this. Let’s do some of this again.’ I think it’s because they really care – and hopefully that’s something that shows when people see the film.”
Also, Mark Hamill commented on ROGUE ONE, “I’ve only seen the trailers, and it looks fantastic...They have a real advantage being able to go in and do a one-off story because you don’t have to follow the trilogy model of a three-act play. They can really get it done, get off, and leave the audience wanting more. They have a chance to make it their own identity. This one looks like a really gritty World War II film. They have a chance to really branch out and stake out the territory for themselves, so I’m looking forward to it.”

STAR WARS: EPISODE VIII---a source said Supreme Leader Snoke, who appeared in THE FORCE AWAKENS as a shadowy figure, will be a seven to eight feet tall puppet that requires “several people to operate” and will have scenes “next to real flesh and blood humans”.

FAST AND FURIOUS---Universal Pictures announced the sequel's title is THE FATE OF THE FURIOUS.

STRIKE BACK---Cinemax is rebooting the series with a new cast which includes Alin Sumarwata, Daniel MacPherson and Roxanne McKee.

I think Tom Cruise buried behind a CGI ape would be the best screen role he could ever play. That should be all he does from now on. Why should only Andy Serkis get these roles?

That's a load of BS! It's just cheaper to go with crappy CGI that's probably produced someplace like Canada or India.

Spider-Man is well cast and looks like it could be fun. Michael Keaton is great, so hopefully it's well-written.

War of Apes looks like it'll be as solid as the previous two, i'm expecting good things.

The Wall, i read the screenplay a few years ago and if it's still roughly the same should make for an interesting film. Doug Liman seems like a good choice to direct it.
