...that the labels replace?

For example, SpaceCamp (first Intrada issue with the short glitch on one track and some issue with the CD numbering). I bought two copies the moment this was released (remember the days when things used to sell out nearly instantly?) and I still have the two glitchy first pressings even though SAE sent me the replacements.

I have a few others: Goodbye, Mr Chips with faulty last track on one of the discs, ST TMP LLL version with disc two that wouldn't rip properly, and so on.

I haven't had to make that decision yet. I got two scartched discs in my "Superman: The Animated Series" set, one of those (at least) errored while playing in the car CD player, but didn't on the computer. To be safe, 'cause I don't know what I'll be playing them on a year from now, I'm probably going to contact LLL for replacements, but I don't know what to do with the old discs.

I don't recall if I needed any replacement discs. If I did I would probably give the glitchy one to a friend who also likes scores.

Best Buy recycles CDs. I've made use of that bin more than once.

If a disc is faulty I bin it. That way I know it can never get muddled with the good (replacement) disc.

I've very rarely had glitch CDs, but I've destroyed the faulty CDs in when it happened.

If it is not as the product should be, then it is rejected by my personal QC department.

As have I, even not including the THOUSANDS of jewel cases I donated to them when I switched to plastic sleeves...

Suggestion: have them polished and donate them to a less fortunate FSMer

Awesome choice! Let's spread the film score love. Wish someone would bless me with their glitchy Starship Troopers discs wink

Can't believe you ditched your cases. Those plastic sleeves are the pits. Don't your discs get scratched up when taking them in and out?

Why not rather donate it to someone who would appreciate it? We really don't need more crap in our landfills.

Strange, I was under the impression that CDs could not be recycled and had to be ground up and hauled to the landfill. Maybe things have changed.

I can't think of anyone who would happily take a glitchy disc when there's a corrected pressing available!

I would gladly accept a glitchy disc as a gift. Often the glitches are so minor as to be negligible (for example, Goodbye Mr Chips).

Good heavens, gents!
Why has no one yet mentioned that they make spiffy mobiles when hung from the ceiling?
Or cool earrings, given the correct position of the drill holes?

I gave my glitchy Spacecamp CD to another FSM member. Why keep it?
