at the Oscars?

Is it the quirky one that will take a lot of Awards and especially music?

I haven't seen the movie, but the score deserves anything it has coming to it. In a perfect world, Doctor Strange would win the Oscar for best score, but Justin Hurwitz's music is just beautiful smile

It appears to be going that way, although the drama Moonlight might win on gravitas.

I'm sorry that Scorsese's masterful Silence has been inexplicably ignored this awards season. That would get my vote for Best Picture, but it's looking like it won't even be nominated!

My vote for Best Picture would be Rogue One. I'm sure the other nominees are profound and beautiful movies, touching, and full of fascinating insights into human nature, but Rogue One filled me with a joy and excitement few other movies have accomplished. It's the "Raiders of Lost Ark" of this generation. Which deserved to win Best Picture, Raiders or Chariots of Fire? Chariots was a great movie (I've seen it twice, and loved it both times), but Raiders is remembered far more fondly.

Rogue One is an astounding display of direction, acting, editing, visuals, music, and general quality. It hasn't gotten a chance, not a single one, of being nominated for Best Picture, but if I had a vote, I'd put it in for this blockbuster that proves blockbusters can be emotional, artistic, stunning, and just straight up thrillingly exciting.

Aren't they still nominating 10 movies now for Best Picture? I would hope SILENCE would have a better chance to be at least one of the 10 other than HOT TUB TIME MACHINE PART 3.

It's hard to say these days!
