I have been a huge fan of Shoji Meguro's work on the Shin Megami Tensei series of games for some time, well certain ones among the huge number of games. Persona 3 and 4 both took quite the departure musically from the more rock inspired scores he did for earlier games and replaced it with hip hop and pop music.
Persona 5 is out in Japan already and is going to be released in the US in April. The soundtrack is now out in Japan and it has replaced hip hop with soulful funk, jazz, and rock. This is quite the enjoyable change of tone for the music.
