For Jerry Goldsmith I would pick THE OMEN. Very Dramatic and striking use of the poster artwork. In your face and perfect. Great use of Black, White and Red. A touch of class to find it on it's initial release in the Soundtrack LP Bins at my local Tower Records back in the day.

I love everything about this cover.
It's colorful, it's exciting, it conveys action.
From a purely graphic design standpoint, it's brilliant.

It's also my favorite movie!

I always loved the simplicity of the Superman double LP. The letters look like they were sculpted from ice blocks. I would stare at this while listening to the music when I was a teen-ager.

I'd forgotten how elegant this was.

Especially since Superman actually had a logo that was used in multiple media for thirty years at that point.

Making it Kryptonian crystal sent the message that "Yes, we're serious."

Still one of my all-time favourites with classic artwork by Frank McCarthy:

And of course, there is Joseph Smith's iconic artwork:

Artwork attributed to Reynold Brown:

... and this one (does anyone know the artist?):

Some people will call this basic. Some might call it lazy. I call it super-cool. I don't know why this is my favourite Williams LP cover, but it is.
