Well, if they're using our master, which we lovingly prepared, I do hope they at least credit James Nelson, unless they've done something new to it.

James did indeed work on mastering according to an email I got from them. So I'd say this is a good sign that the sound quality will be as good as your release. Good work on the original release Bruce.

A new label,
AWESOME!

So now it's the waiting game for their next roster of titles.
I also have the Kritzerland pressing, so I'm not buying but hoping there's a goodie in the pipeline!

I have the Kritzerland (one of the few physical soundtracks I've bought in recent years), so I don't need this, but CONGRATS on the new label, Notefornote! Looking forward to whatever you'll issue, especially if it's of the more contemporary kind.

Thor, you are aware that the label is called NOTEFORNOTE? That's another wording for COMPLETEANDCHRONOLOGICAL.

Doesn't it mean "exactly as composed"?

It would better describe the work of people like Stromberg and Morgan and labels like Tribute or Tadlow, making a note-for-note transcription or re-recording of a previously composed work.

Everytime I see the name I keep reading an omen-esque Latin chant "NO-TE-FORNO-TE"

I love it!

I guess that the two leads (Sarandon & Davis) are on the same line as Scott.

The actual art work world wide has the two leads placed higher in art work & Scott central & directly above the title.

But if art was signed off by the Rights holder than it makes little difference unless any of the three concerned raise an issue.

That's my guess

I'm thinking it describes the transactional nature of the business...bank note for music note. They forgot the "chaching" at the end.

FYI, The cover was approved by MGM who were rather specific about the placement of the credits of the two leads and the director.

Ford A. Thaxton

The cover is OK, but IMO it comes off as a little too 'flashy' and action-oriented for this film. I prefer the cleaner, more 'airy' Kritzerland version.

Ford having worked for MGM for a number of years that is why I wrote "if it's signed off by the RIGHTS holder it makes no difference".

I have spent many hours working in contractual placement for every major & minor studio out of Europe to know that.

FYI ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,by the way

The only disappointing thing about the Kritzerland version were the short liner notes.

Let's hope Notefornote does a better job with that.

Well, it's all about those liner notes, isn't it? Funny that for decades there were no such things as liner notes, save for maybe a few paragraphs on the back of the LP, and we all got along just fine and dandy. I barely have time to listen to all these CDs, let alone read an eighteen page booklet.

I think what DMD refers to is the way you reply to and handle criticims of your product here.
