Sounds good. For some reason, Andre Previn is credited as "Music Director" on the film. Director Anthony Mann had been working primarily at RKO during the 1940s, before making several well-regarded films noir at Eagle-Lion Films: RAILROADED!, RAW DEAL, and T-MEN. BORDER INCIDENT was originally to be produced by Aubrey Schenck and William Katzell for Eagle-Lion, but in November 1948, MGM paid Eagle-Lion an estimated $50,000 - $100,000 for the completed screenplay and the services of director Anthony Mann. Eagle-Lion sold the story to MGM because the projected $650,000 budget was too expensive for the independent studio.
