From 1949. Not too shabby. Would love to hear more.

Sounds good. For some reason, Andre Previn is credited as "Music Director" on the film.

Director Anthony Mann had been working primarily at RKO during the 1940s, before making several well-regarded films noir at Eagle-Lion Films: RAILROADED!, RAW DEAL, and T-MEN. BORDER INCIDENT was originally to be produced by Aubrey Schenck and William Katzell for Eagle-Lion, but in November 1948, MGM paid Eagle-Lion an estimated $50,000 - $100,000 for the completed screenplay and the services of director Anthony Mann. Eagle-Lion sold the story to MGM because the projected $650,000 budget was too expensive for the independent studio.

How cool to have Khan and Kodos the Executioner from STAR TREK in a film together. Arnold Moss played Kodos/Anton Keridian in "The Conscience of the King" episode of STAR TREK TOS.

Excellent, zooba. Reminds me how modern-sounding Previn was even in 1949. Those Main Titles also remind me a liitle of HOUSE OF NUMBERS, and that I must listen to it again. On the FSM label, coupled with THE FASTEST GUN ALIVE. If you don't have this CD, you're nuts - or at least a nutmeg.

Pretty good movie. And timely: it concerns the exploitation of Mexican farm workers by California agribusiness interests.
