In the early 1990s, my roommate and I used to listen to a lot of music together.

She played me a piece of very atmospheric 20th century orchestral music that I believe was titled "Bells in the Mist." It was a shorter piece. I believe the composer was Russian, and I think his last name started with the letter D, at least in English.

I later found a CD with more works by this composer, and I gave it to her for Christmas that year. (I can't remember if "Bells in the Mist" was on that disc or not.)

This is all very hazy, and I may have some details wrong, but I would appreciate any help I could get.

(Searching for "Bells in the Mist" on YouTube produces a million versions of "Carol of the Bells.)

Could the composer possibly be Edison Denisov? I don't see anything resembling "Bells in the Mist" in his list of works, though.
