I have the two LPs but this is a delicious bouncy couple of soundtracks from Hefti, so ordering. And Jane Fonda at her sexiest. Love that life affirming cover. It helps that I'm currently reading Neil Simon's Memoirs. His memories of the two plays & films are so detailed and humorous. So to further answer the question regarding "The Odd Couple" (I don't have the "Barefoot" LP), there are pieces here that are shorter than they were on the LP, since Hefti had extrapolated longer pieces from the briefer film cues presented here. Not having the old LP's transfered to CD, but having Paramount vault material with the assistance of Lukas Kendall tells me Varese is a major label again.
