Smart to post it in its own thread, given that that thread title is truncated.

Really incredible, I was hoping that you guys would release the vinyl versions, which would be discouraging for me because I already have those versions. However, I'm now amazed that you really released the original/film score (I was not very believing in that)! Wonderful, congratulations! Already purchased!

Hm... were the LPs re-recordings then? Does this CD include everything (music-wise) that was on the LPs?

Hm... were the LPs re-recordings then? Does this CD include everything (music-wise) that was on the LPs? This CD has the original score of the two films, it's not the LP versions (re-recordings).

The release of the original tracks is certainly welcome, but it looks as if the LP versions will need to stay on the "unreleased" list.

For me this is wonderful to see the "old" Varese Sarabande label back in a big way. Not having the old LP's transfered to CD, but having Paramount vault material with the assistance of Lukas Kendall tells me Varese is a major label again. Thank you, Varese Sarabande. Definitely a good sign Cody!

Any detail on the source materials? ------------------------------------------------------------------ It says "With the help of Lukas Kendall, we researched the Paramount vaults for the original source tapes." Now technically, that doesn't mean they found them, but I would certainly think that they mean those are the source. That's much more detail than we usually get from Varese about their sources.
