Wait! What! I know about Sugarland, but when was it confirmed that JW is sitting on a release of Story of a Woman? I thought it was all about missing tapes.
Think it was MV. (Or someone in the biz who's in the know.)

No, it was James Fitzpatrick who said that he had been in touch with Williams' people regarding this title, and was told to lay off. Whatever that means. There has never been a statement from Williams on this.
(sorry for turning your Conti thread into a Williams thread, henry).
MV also said that Williams does not want it released. Presumably, James was referring to a possible new recording, and MV to the original tracks.
My assumption is that no Williams scores have gone unexplored by our labels. How far that exploration got, I have no idea, but I don't think there's any way we can mention a title that haven't at the very least brought up themselves.
Also, how about that Bill Conti? (I'm trying, I'm trying!)

The entire pilot score of FALCON CREST by Conti is fantastic! I have the single record with DYNASTY on the other side. To my knowledge the FALCON CREST single is not on cd, however DYNASTY is.
A number of years ago I searched threw various theme compilations hoping to find an original performance of either "Dynasty" series themes or at least a close one. I had no such luck. Unless something has come out since then, all searching will lead to is disappointment.
It's still a fact that all John Williams archival soundtracks since NIGHTWATCH in 2011 have been expansions of existing soundtracks. I'd count TOM SAWYER in that too, because even though the original album didn't have any of the score proper, it nonetheless had an ALBUM. So that's SIX years since a premiere release. A bit depressing.
Cheer up! "Pete 'n' Tillie" is out from Varèse! (I know, you have to swallow an expanded score to get it.)
