And what does your post have to do with James's Hisaishi concert? Did you think you were adding anything to this thread with that bit of nasty sarcasm? Your beef with Goldsmith and his enthusiastic fans (including myself) is getting really old, pal. It's like you bear a personal grudge with us for loving his music, like we've personally ruined John Scott's career or something. Which is ridiculous (and many of us love Scott, too) -- is it your premise that Goldsmith stole a lot of plumb assignments from more talented composers over the course of his career, due to adoring fans talking him up too much? I've held my tongue in many other threads when you've posted similar things, but I really just don't get why you need to keep making comments like this. Yavar (Goldsmith, Scott, AND Hisaishi lover)

Yavar (Goldsmith, Scott, AND Hisaishi lover) Well, I can see that backfired spectacularly. Yavar, I speak in jest! I mean no offense to your Goldsmith love, please don't take it that way. I'm just feeling oddly snarky this morning. All the same, I hope you'll accept my apology (and I hope others won't take it to heart, wildly off-topic or not). Thrilled Hisaishi is getting his own concert in the western world, and I hope, of course, that it's a huge success. We need more programs like this!

If it were just a one time thing, sure, you were feeling snarky. But I've seen this kind of bitterness from you towards Goldsmith/Goldsmith fans in several other threads, so it seems like more of a pattern. But let's just drop it and leave this thread to be about a great-looking Hisaishi concert, which I wish I could attend. Yavar
