I have been recently watching documentaries from BATMAN (pre-Nolan era) films and I noticed how much more fuller and more spacious (see links below) the music sounded. Btw, this is not 5.1 and just regular stereo tracks.
No disrespect to labels, they've done excellent job, but these sound much better than the remastered albums. How come?
1. We didn't release Batman and Robin. 2. YouTube videos are compressed as hell and sound like shit in the first place. 3. Batman Returns and Batman Forever sound incredible, so good in fact that Mr Elfman used the master from BR for his Grammy nominated Collection. Goldenthal produced Forever with us and oversaw the mastering. 4. Batman, as has been talked about before many times, was as good as it could get. Even look at at the Elfman/Burton Collection. At the time of his release and the time of our 2 releases that's what has survived. Maybe one day something better will appear.
Is there any chance for Jan Hammer's MIAMI VICE complete/expanded release, with more music than was available on long OOP 2-disc One Way Records relase?
