La Belle et la Bete (Beauty and the Beast) was a 2014 big French production of a tale as old as time, starring Vincent Cassel as the Beast & Léa Seydoux as the Beauty. The absolutely wonderful score was composed by Pierre Adenot. My review:
This is a fantastic score - am very surprised Adenot has not got more attention since then as it ticks all the Delerue - Desplat boxes, perhaps even more so with the latter. The score is melodic, accessible, mysterious, sad, enchanting.
I don’t have any idea about Beauty and the Beast (2014) I saw new B&B movie yesterday amazing movie I went to see movie for a task http://www.Aoneessays.net/ but I enjoy a lot and my girlfriend was happy too.
This is really a fine score and quite a lovely film. I haven't seen the new Emma Watson version yet, but I enjoyed this French film much better than I ever liked the original Disney animated one (or the old Cocteau version). It seems to me that there is a good deal of music on the CD that is not in the movie. I need to go to the Blu-Ray again and compare, but I could swear that Beauty & the Beast's big waltz scene is scored differently than any of the waltz cues on the CD. Maybe Adenot's waltz was replace by another composer's piece?
Hah! Well, it's nice to know I was right about that. Sometimes I feel like my ability to catch stuff like that has diminished with age, but I guess I'm still picking up musical clues when I watch films.
Nice review. And I totally agree it was a bad decision to replace the original waltz. It does make the reprise of the theme later in the film make no musical connections/sense.

Pierre Adenot ranks among the best composers working today - period - but he is so underused. His background in the pop/rock world is also quite solid. Enjoy the following video clip with french star Calogero (Mr Adenot is the orchestra conductor) :
