With the exception of the classic RIDE THE HIGH COUNTRY, almost all of Randolph Scott's second feature westerns in the 50's that were of real merit were directed by Budd Boetticher.
Four of the Budd Boetticher/Randolph Scott westerns are minor masterpieces: Seven Men From Now, The Tall T, Ride Lonesome and Comanche Station. Don't miss them. With bad guys like Lee Marvin, Richard Boone, Henry Silva and Claude Akins, you can't go wrong.
so...nobody noticed this is in stereo? I've been told that the orchestra was miked in front and back, recorded to nitrates, even though the film would never get shown in a stereophonic cinema. Stunning sound quality, should be on CD.
