What vintage series would you like to see remastered in HD? We got "Star Trek TOS", amazingly "Lost In Space", "Batman", and even "Wonder Women" (at least available in HD on iTunes).

I'm with you on these, except for "Space 1999," which I've never cared for. Otherwise, there are too many TV series to count that I'd like to see get HD remasters -- like how about all the Gerry Anderson "SuperMarionation" stuff? -- however, I see little hope that we'll get this stuff on Blu-ray, maybe streaming, and probably not for years yet.

SPACE 1999 is already on blu-ray (2nd season has only been released in UK, but might be region-free).

Rockford Files coming to Blu Ray!

Mill Creek Entertainment has announced that it will release on Blu-ray The Rockford Files: The Complete Series. The box set will be available for purchase on June 13.

"Hello, this is Jim Rockford. At the tone, leave your name and message. I'll get back to you." {beep}

For only "two hundred dollars a day, plus expenses," the original and quintessential anti-hero detective, Jim Rockford, is on the case! Primetime Emmy Award-winner James Garner stars as the ex-con-turned-private-investigator who stays under the radar and takes on the cases of the lost and the dispossessed, chasing down seemingly long-dead clues in the sunbaked streets and seamy alleys of Los Angeles.

And now, all 120 episodes from its six seasons 22-disc anthology! Filled with wry humor, chilling suspense, and engaging cases, it's no mystery why The Rockford Files remains the most celebrated detective show of its time. Notable Cast/Crew: James Garner, Noah Beery, Stuart Margolin, Dyan Cannon. Winner of 5 Emmy Awards and 13 additional Emmy-nominations. Also received 4 Golden Globe nominations including Best Actor and Best Drama Series. NEWLY REMASTERED IN HIGH DEFINITION.

Classic Doctor Who, but it will never happen. (Except for a few remote sequences on film, everything was shot, or at least posted in video. SD video.)
