STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI---photo released of Carrie Fisher on the set of THE LAST JEDI with writer/director Rian Johnson.
Also, Billy Dee Williams said Lando Calrissian will not be in THE LAST JEDI.
At Star Wars Celebration in Orlando, George Lucas joked with Harrison Ford about Ford's plane crash, “I asked him ‘you know how to fly?‘” and Ford quipped: “I said fly, yeah. Land?”
Also, Samuel L. Jackson said via video that he wants to return as Mace Windu, "I am not dead … Mace Windu is awaiting his return. Let’s make it happen. Kathy [Lucasfilm head Kathleen Kennedy] you’re sitting right there."
THE BRIDE OF FRANKENSTEIN---Bill Condon (BEAUTY AND THE BEAST) is in talks to direct the reboot of the 1935 Universal Pictures movie that starred Elsa Lanchester and Boris Karloff.
COMING TO AMERICA---the writers of the original 1988 Eddie Murphy movie, Barry Blaustein and David Sheffield, will write the sequel. Murphy is expected to return for the sequel.
LABYRINTH---Fede Alvarez (DON'T BREATHE, EVIL DEAD) will direct the reboot/sequel of the 1986 Jim Henson movie that starred David Bowie and Jennifer Connelly.
WIDOWS---Robert Duvall will play the father of Colin Farrell's character in the US remake of the British miniseries about widows who complete the heist job their husbands were killed on.
NIGHT SCHOOL---Kevin Hart will star in this comedy movie as the leader of a group of misfits who are forced to attend adult education classes to get their GEDs.
A NEEDLE IN A HAYSTACK---John Ridley (12 YEARS A SLAVE) will direct this movie about a man who must save his marriage from a time-traveling man.
SPIDER-MAN---Sony Pictures Animation movie underway. Shameik Moore will provide the voice for Miles Morales, and Liev Schreiber will be the voice of the undisclosed villain.
WATCHMEN---Warner Bros. is reportedly developing straight-to-home animated movies including WATCHMEN.
LET THE RIGHT ONE IN---TNT will not proceed with a tv series based on the Swedish and US vampire movies, but it will be shopped to other networks.
