Okay, why don't you tell me from his famous speech:

"My four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character."

What me really meant then, since you know better what MLK meant than what MLK said.

And like another member, you're speaking of the past. Perhaps MLK did support affirmative action (you'll excuse me if I don't take your word for it), but that was during a time when -- again -- people were being judged on the color of their skin rather than content of character. Today is 2018, not 1969.

I think this thread has a good chance of solving racism!

Nobody is trying to solve racism here. In fact, I appear to be the only one who you could argue is doing that. All I'm doing is reminding people to judge a person not on the color of their skin and hire a person based on their abilities, not solve racism. You can tell the weak argument and stances based on reaching into their ass and pulling out calling somebody a racist card when they clearly are in the wrong.

if you say so..........

There is no "If you say so [lots of unnecessary periods]"

I quoted him verbatim. You can pull up the video on Youtube yourself. I didn't make up people wanting to hire a black composer, I pulled that from this thread.

None of this is if I say so, it's reality, sir.

I already said I pretty much agreed about your initial point; they should hire the best person available.
But, you messed up your own argument with the MLK stuff.

But did you listen to me?
Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!
wink

In your faulty opinion. Which doesn't mean much after you said I was a racist.

I warned you not to use that quote.
If you don't want to be thought of as racist.
I have no idea if YOU are, but it is a standard ploy by people who ARE racist.*

*David Duke and his brethren love to pull that quote -out of context-
to justify their actions, or non-action.
