Interesting article in the New York Times about the studio battle for who distributes the next James BOnd yawnfest:

https://www.nytimes.com/2017/04/20/business/media/james-bond-sony-mgm-eon-productions.html?_r=5

Particularly interesting that Eon are only looking for a one picture deal, which if accurate is very odd indeed. Studios rarely want to just do one off deals these days - seriously, if Shakespeare was pitching Macbeth to a studio these days, it would have to be as a trilogy.

Will be interesting to see which logo is at the front of the next Bond movie - personally I miss the old US/TransAmerica one.

Someone must miss the UA logo that was on Dr. No in its original run...

Well, you'll always have the Clifton James Bond Duology to fall back on. Condolences on the passing of Sheriff Pepper, surely the greatest of all Bond villains from Bond's greatest era.

The real cruelty of this world is that we were denied the epic team up of Sheriff Pepper and Buford T. Justice in a film series, all set to the music of Erik Satie.

Think of the possibilities.

It's still painful to see what remains of the once mighty MGM.
