NO replacement for missing or stolen orders to the Netherlands unless you pay
an amount of $45 for EXPRESS MAIL !!!
That's by ordering today my 120th CD from SAE The Sons Of Katy Elder.

SO THE RELIABLE AND GOOD CUSTOMERS HAVE TO BLEED FOR THE IMPOSTORS !!

Is there any other country in the world who has the same experience ?

I always choose the non insured method.

I trust in the mail system, rarely does it fail me.

*side note, I have never shed any blood or bled over a soundtrack purchase. Will continue that trend. big grin

I've never paid the extra, & never had anything go astray (to the UK), live dangerously & chance it.

When the insurance costs more than the item being insured, don't buy the insurance.

It's the same policy for us Canadians. I've never had anything go missing from SAE, but to be honest, since they've implemented this policy, I usually look to see if I can order what I want from Intrada or Moviemusic.com first. I wonder if it's cost them many sales?

Guys,

I live in Brazil and I've been a SAE customer since 1997. I have NEVER had one single order (and I use their services regularly) gone astray or lost or badly damaged in 20 years! So, I never choose the insured option. The packs may take some time to get here and all but they DO arrive safely.

SAE offers STELLAR service and I'm a proud and loyal customer. God Bless'em!

Just for the record : this thread was never ment to bring SAE in a bad daylight .
On the contrary : From the first CD (Searchers -Steiner - BYU/FMA MS 101) back in 1998 until now
only one package was missing for four months.
The 10 Commandmendments Box (6CD)at $ 92,45 finally arrived over here in the Netherlands
after missending from NEPAL !

Katie from SAE had just promised me to send an replacement but I told her that was not necessary anymore.

I've ordered many CDs from SAE without issue to the UK. After some years, I've just ordered a CD from SAE and decided not to go for the insurance option.

I've been ordering stuff from SAE & Amazon US for twenty years, & it never really occurred to me that the sender should be responsible if the item got lost in the mail, happily nothing ever has.

Absolutely. I now order mainly from Movie Music for that very reason. As a result, I've found a wonderful service I never would have discovered. It depends on your comfort level with taking your chances, I guess. In any case, all of these online retailers are great, including SAE, LaLaLand, Intrada. We're lucky to have some passionate online retailers servicing this unique, niche market, giving us lots of choice.

Unless one of the labels have a sale I always buy from Movie Music. Buy three scores and get one dollar shipping. Even if one of the scores ordered is a multi disc box set! Movie Music customer service is top notch too.

An e-tailer should be invested in getting goods safely to customers. They'd have the same obligation if you visited their physical store.

I had a package from SAE go missing once, two years ago. Someone at Asendia or USPS threw it into the wrong sorting bin and it somehow ended up in Brazil rather than going to Canada. I had to wait three or four months for it to clear Brazilian customs and for them to reroute it back up north. I had contacted SAE two months into the waiting period and they sent a replacement package, then I ended up receiving both of them anyway (got the original package that went lost four months after it was originally sent out).

Thankfully nothing has gone missing like that ever since, but I only use SAE as more of a last resort option now.

At that price it better be delivered by a cute girl in a top hat, sparkly skirt and tapping shoes.
BTW, wouldn't it be cheaper just to place a new order?
