Can someone please recommend some more East European 60-80s sci-fi and horror soundtracks on vinyl?
I recently got this one "Gosti iz Galaksije aka Visitors from the Galaxy" which was first sci-fi and first electronic soundtrack from ex Yugoslavia and would love to explore more.

Thanks. Great track but it seems the scenes are from the russian sci-fi film and track is by group from DDR but not featured in the film.

Well, it is on the soundtrack, available on CD and vinyls.

I'm assuming you're looking for more obscure stuff than, say, Eduard Artemiev's SOLARIS and STALKER?

Preferably more obscure stuff. I'm familiar with Eduard Artemiev's work.
Any label, site/blogs, forums ... that deal with it are welcome too.
I'm not sure how many of those soundtracks are out. This one "Visitors from the Galaxy" by Tomislav Simovic is brilliant. Love the packaging too. Especially the poster. The label is from Croatia and it's their first release so will keep an eye on them. btw. Jan Svankmajer did a monster on the cover.

Any other eastern European soundtrack labels? UK's Finders keepers did some great EE soundtracks too.

Did you buy the Finders Keepers cd. Horrifc Child. Jean Pierre Massiera.. because if you didn't its worth looking into, the Music is moody with all kinds of weird instruments + some far out echo's of voices/dialogue.

Any other eastern European soundtrack labels?

There's GAD records from Poland, but they don't specialize exclusively in soundtracks. The soundtracks they did release so far are not sci-fi/horror, either ...

http://gadrecords.pl/

GAD issued a Korzynski album called Akademia pana Kleksa, which is apparently an animated fantasy from '84.

Another album is music from Pszczolka Maja - also animated - from 1975 by Karel Svoboda.

Thanks for this. The label looks brilliant. I haven't heard of them before. I'm going to check all their releases. Not interested only in soundtracks. Love "Maya the bee" cover and all the other artwork. Pretty cheap too.

I'm afraid I have missed that one. Both CD and LP out of stock now. frown
Love it. Quite creepy. Listening to it on Finders keepers bandcamp.
