I've just come back from a lovely weekend in Dublin, enjoying two film music concerts from David Arnold. The first, on Friday night, was a selection of his music from his career and the second, on Saturday, was a screening of Independence Day with the RTE Concert Orchestra performing the score live. Nicholas Dodd conducted (gosh he's quite something to watch). Some of the James Bond films are also going to have the 'screened with live orchestra' treatment and the premiere of this series will be Casino Royale at the Royal Albert Hall. There are two performances (2.30pm and 7.30pm) on Saturday 30 September and a question and answer session thingy with David Arnold beforehand. Tickets: http://www.royalalberthall.com/tickets/events/2017/casino-royale-in-concert/ "Casino Royale in Concert is the first installment in a brand new James Bond Concert Series, produced by Film Concerts Live!, in association with EON Productions and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios (MGM)." https://scifibulletin.com/2017/05/17/casino-royale-opens-with-live-orchestra-at-the-royal-albert-hall/ David also seems to have another concert in March next year, in Hamburg, which is of his James Bond music (though not with a film screening) but it appears to be completely sold out and I didn't even hear that tickets were on sale. https://www.semmel.de/hollywood-in-hamburg-the-sound-of-james-bondwith-david-arnold-tickets.html Jo
