TUESDAY, JUNE 20 AMERICAN ASSASSIN---new trailer released for the movie starring Dylan O'Brien and Michael Keaton. WONDER WOMAN---Gal Gadot will reportedly earn only $300,000 for each of her three DC movies (WONDER WOMAN, BATMAN v SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE and JUSTICE LEAGUE). Gadot played a starring role only in WONDER WOMAN. Chris Evans, who starred in CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE FIRST AVENGER, was also paid only $300,000. In THE AVENGERS, the starring cast members were paid $200,000 each, but Robert Downey Jr. was paid $50 million. FORBES said Henry Cavill earned $14 million for MAN OF STEEL, so Gadot, whose contract expired with WONDER WOMAN, will get a lot more for WONDER WOMAN 2. GODZILLA 2---synopsis released for the sequel, which had been earlier titled GODZILLA: KING OF THE MONSTERS, and stars Kyle Chandler, Vera Farmiga, Millie Bobby Brown and Ken Watanabe. “The new story follows the heroic efforts of the crypto-zoological agency Monarch as its members face off against a battery of god-sized monsters, including the mighty Godzilla, who collides with Mothra, Rodan, and his ultimate nemesis, the three-headed King Ghidorah. When these ancient super-species—thought to be mere myths – rise again, they all vie for supremacy, leaving humanity’s very existence hanging in the balance.” THE LOCH---Steve Alten (MEG) said a movie is underway based on his novel about the Loch Ness Monster, “Belle Avery, the lead producer on MEG, is working with her Chinese producers to bring THE LOCH to the big screen … Screenwriter and director are their first priorities… and they are speaking to some serious talent.” MEG, starring Jason Statham and directed by Jon Turteltaub (NATIONAL TREASURE) will premiere in 2018. STAR WARS---the Los Angeles County Medical Examiners Office's autopsy said, “Ms. Fisher suffered what appeared to be a cardiac arrest on the airplane accompanied by vomiting and with a history of sleep apnea. Based on the available toxicological information, we cannot establish the significance of the multiple substances that were detected in Ms. Fisher’s blood and tissue, with regard to the cause of death." The autopsy said the multiple substances were cocaine, methadone, heroin and ecstasy. OVERLORD---synopsis released for the JJ Abrams supernatural World War II movie starring Wyatt Russell and Jovan Adepo. "On the eve of D-Day, American paratroopers are dropped behind enemy lines to carry out a mission crucial to the invasion’s success. But as they approach their target, they begin to realize there is more going on in this Nazi-occupied village than a simple military operation. They find themselves fighting against supernatural forces, part of a Nazi experiment." DRACULA---BBC miniseries underway based on the Bram Stoker novel from the SHERLOCK team of Mark Gatiss and Steven Moffat. THE MUMMY---the reboot movie has earned about $293 million worldwide but is projected to lose $95 million. THE OATH---Sean Bean stars in this Crackle series about a crooked cop who is released from prison and seeks to regain his position as the leader of a gang of crooked cops. THE GOOD COP---Tony Danza stars in this Netflix dramedy about a disgraced ex-NYPD cop who lives with his son who is dedicated NYPD cop. Andy Breckman (MONK) is the creator/showrunner. LAST MAN STANDING---CMT is no longer in talks to pick up the cancelled Tim Allen sitcom. A source said NBC also won't carry the series because it has, “already turned down 4-5 shows they wanted for next year because there's no space.” ANASTASIA: ONCE UPON A TIME---Emily Carey (WONDER WOMAN) stars in this family comedy movie about Anastasia Romanov in 1917 Russia who enters a time portal and emerges in 1988 America and befriends another young girl. xXx 4---the sequel is underway with Vin Diesel, Nina Dobrev, Deepika Padukone and Ruby Rose expected to return. THE DAY THE CRAYONS QUIT---live-action/animated Sony Pictures movie underway based on the children's book. A SIMPLE FAVOR---Anna Kendrick and Blake Lively are in negotiations to star in the Paul Feig movie based on the novel. BRIGHTNESS FALLS---Amazon tv series underway based on the novel trilogy.
